How do I find scholarly or peer-reviewed articles within a database?

Answer

If you are researching within a specific database (having pulled up it up by title or subject), the methods for finding scholarly/peer-reviewed content will vary slightly from database to database

In most databases, there is a checkbox that allows you to limit to only "Peer Reviewed" items. Some databases (Nursing and Allied Health, for example) make the option for "Peer Reviewed' highly visible on the database's main page while others (Business Insights: Essentials, for instance) have the option under an 'Advanced Search.'

Please contact us if you are having trouble finding the content you need within any database.
